As a business owner, you have a lot of responsibilities to take care of. Many administrative things slip through the cracks! One of these administrative things is filing your annual statement with the State of Michigan.
Here are the steps for filing your Annual Statement:
You'll need your Entity ID, so navigate over to https://cofs.lara.state.mi.us/SearchApi/Search/Search so you can search for your business in LARA. Your Entity ID number will be listed next to your result. Other businesses may have similar names to yours, so be SURE it is your business and that you are selecting an active business.
Next, you need to know your CID and Pin. Don't worry, I don't know mine and never write it down (Shame!) but it's easy to retrieve by going to this link https://cofs.lara.state.mi.us/Corps/CIDPINRecovery It will email you the information you need after you fill in the requested information.
Now you're ready to get this done! https://cofs.lara.state.mi.us/CorpWeb/LoginSystem/ExternalLogin.aspx
Sign in, Select Annual Statement, select the year (that we're currently in, but check to see if you have old, un-updated years too!). Update any information in the form if it has changed, and then add your name to E-Sign the document. Finally, fill in the info about who is filling out this form (yourself) and then proceed to review. If everything is ok, Submit the filing, and enter your payment details. Of course "I'm not a robot", and check the box for "I agree" (to all the terms) and you have instant access to your newly updated annual statement. You will also receive an email from Michigan.
